Asynchronous nature of node.js and its capabilities to handle huge number of connections appeals to everyone who have ever been trying to build a scalable COMET-application that doesn’t suck. However, being a standalone solution (web-server, TCP-server etc), connecting node.js to another ecosystems is not that straightforward (though there’re known options of extending node.js functionality via C++ addons).
